Thankful for....Words

In this season of Thanksgiving, there is so much to be thankful for – friends, family, food – and of course the pandemic puppy who is now a grown up dog.  Yet today I want to express thanks for something each of us uses daily – and can learn continually – Words.I decided early in the year to write down unfamiliar words I came across in my reading.  With bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Purdue University and 30 years in the field of communications, I felt I have a pretty good vocabulary yet was excited to discover words I didn’t know. Of course, I also had to look up what each word meant, even though I had good context clues in my reading material. Thank goodness for sticky notes at my bedside where I could capture these locutions! My trusty Passion Planner datebook was the repository for these words, which I will now share with you. I challenge you to look up any of these that are not in your current vocabulary and use in a sentence soon – maybe even at Thanksgiving dinner. Whatever you do, though, try not to spuddle.Kenda’s 2022 Vocab Expansion (in order encountered)
