It’s Been a Minute
As I did a quick update to my bio page here on KRFPR.com, I realized I have not published a blog since JUNE. Oh dear – the cobbler’s kid has no shoes, and the communicator is behind on her business blogging. I could choose to be embarrassed – or rejoice in the fact that it has been a wonderful second half of the year with new clients and meaningful projects. I choose the latter. Client work will always come first, so I’ll take this KRF blogging gap as a sign of success for my two-year old public relations firm. From media trainings to social media blitzes to building strategic communications cadences, I’ve had the opportunity to make a difference for my clients in 2021.I also won’t regret any moment I’ve spent on volunteer work. Helping North Central High School in this "comeback year" as PTO Co-President has been an honor, as has leading an amazing board and staff for Family Promise of Greater Indianapolis which helped dozens of families secure housing this year. Simply put, EVERY child deserves a home. The year 2022 will include a seismic shift when the last baby bird flies the coop and the nest is empty, save for the pandemic puppy. Will I blog more in the fall when both kiddos are off to college? Time will tell, but until then, I’ll savor the minutes and not let self-imposed guilt take any of my time. It’s been a minute, and that’s OK. Enjoy the holidays and Happy New Year!
